The Ibn Tibbon Research Unit is devoted to the study of Arabic and Jewish Philosophy with a special emphasis on Arabic philosophy in al-Andalus (Muslim Spain) and the Hebrew tradition that was built upon it. Named after the Tibbonids, the famous Provencal family of translators, originally hailing from Granada.
